# Connect theStacc to Codex CLI

> Add the hosted theStacc MCP server to OpenAI's Codex CLI and sign in.

<Steps>
  <Step title="Add the server">
    ```bash theme={null}
    codex mcp add thestacc --url https://mcp.thestacc.com/mcp
    ```
  </Step>

  <Step title="Sign in">
    ```bash theme={null}
    codex mcp login thestacc
    ```

    Your browser opens theStacc: log in, pick the project and permissions, and click **Approve**.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Try it">
    Start `codex` and ask *"Use thestacc to review my content plan"*.
  </Step>
</Steps>

Codex stops waiting for a tool after 60 seconds by default. theStacc's tools answer within that: a longer job (an image redraw, publishing) returns `still_running` and Codex checks on it instead of starting it again.
