AI assistants such as ChatGPT, Claude and Perplexity answer questions with pages their crawlers fetch. If your server or CDN refuses those crawlers, your robots.txt asks them to stay away, or your content only appears after JavaScript runs, they cannot use your page. This checker tests each of those, live, for the page you enter.

Common problems we find
- Bot protection that blocks AI crawlers by default. Some CDN settings refuse or challenge AI crawlers; check your bot settings.
- robots.txt rules that are too broad. A rule meant for training crawlers also blocks AI search.
- Content rendered only in the browser. Crawlers that do not run JavaScript see an empty shell.
- nosnippet on important pages. It also keeps pages out of Google's AI features.
Frequently Asked Questions
Three things. First, access: we request your page as seven AI crawlers (OAI-SearchBot, ChatGPT-User, GPTBot, ClaudeBot, Claude-User, PerplexityBot, Perplexity-User) and as a normal browser, and compare the answers. Second, rules: what your robots.txt asks each AI crawler to do for that page. Third, readability: how much text is in the HTML before JavaScript runs, noai and nosnippet directives, llms.txt and structured data.
If the site refuses our browser request too, it is blocking our server, not the AI crawlers, and the crawler results mean nothing. When the browser gets the page but a crawler is refused or challenged, a firewall or bot rule is treating that crawler differently.

That is your choice. Blocking training crawlers such as GPTBot, ClaudeBot or Google-Extended keeps your content out of future model training. It does not block the search crawlers (OAI-SearchBot, Claude-SearchBot, PerplexityBot) that fetch pages for AI answers, as long as your rules name them separately.
Several AI crawlers do not run JavaScript, so they read only the HTML your server sends. If your main content appears only after scripts run, those crawlers see little of it. Server-side rendering or static generation fixes that.
