What is a Google review link?
A Google review link is a short web address that opens your Google Business Profile with the “Write a review” box already showing. Customers tap it, pick the stars and write, with no searching for your business first. Fewer steps means more reviews. This tool finds your listing, reads its Place ID and builds the link for you.
How it works
- Search your business. Type the name and town, paste your Google Maps link, or paste a Place ID.
- Pick your listing. If several businesses match, choose yours from the list with its address and rating.
- Copy, print and send. Copy the link, download the QR code, and send one of the ready-made SMS, email or WhatsApp messages.
Where to use your review link
| Place | How | Tip |
|---|---|---|
| Text message | Send it right after the visit or job | Within two hours gets the most replies |
| Add it to receipts and follow-up emails | One clear button, not a list of sites | |
| Send it in the chat you already use with customers | Keep the message short and personal | |
| Counter and table | Print the QR code on a card or tent | At least 2.5 cm wide so phones can scan it |
| Website and email signature | Link a “Review us on Google” button | Add it to your thank-you page |
Frequently Asked Questions
Search your business above, pick your listing and copy the link. It uses your Place ID in Google’s official review address, https://search.google.com/local/writereview?placeid=…, which opens the review box directly.
No. The link is built from your Place ID, which stays the same as long as your Google Business Profile exists. If you move or merge listings, generate it again.
Google also offers a “Ask for reviews” share link in your profile dashboard. Both open the review box. This one is easy to get without logging in, and comes with a QR code and message templates.
The link works for any public listing, but only ask your own customers to review your own business. Offering rewards for reviews breaks Google’s rules.
Ask every happy customer, every week. A steady flow of new reviews helps your Maps ranking more than a burst once a year.
Try the exact name as it appears on Google plus the town, or paste the link from Google Maps. Brand-new listings can take a few days to appear.
Yes. No sign-up and no limits for normal use. We look up the listing on Google when you search and store nothing.
