Payments, Invoices & Payment Methods
See the card on file, review your recent payments, find your invoices, and update your payment method or billing address through the secure billing portal.
Everything about how you pay theStacc lives in one place: Settings > Billing. From here you can see the card on file, review every payment, and jump to the secure billing portal to make changes. This page walks through what you'll find and how to update it.
Your card details are handled entirely by our payment processor (Dodo Payments). theStacc never sees or stores your full card number - we only ever show the card brand and the last four digits.
Payment method#
Under Settings > Billing, the Payment Method card shows the card we currently have on file for your account. It displays:
- The card brand (for example, Visa or Mastercard)
- The last four digits of the card number, shown as
•••• 4242
If you haven't added a card yet, this card reads No payment method on file.
Update your payment method#
You update your card in the secure billing portal, not inside theStacc.
- Go to Settings > Billing.
- On the Payment Method card, click Update.
- The billing portal opens in a new tab.
- Add or change your card in the portal, then save.
Your new card is used for the next payment. Once the portal updates, the card shown on the Payment Method card in theStacc reflects the change.
Payments history#
The Invoices section under Settings > Billing lists your recent payments so you can see exactly what you were charged and when. For each payment you'll see:
- Date - when the payment was made
- Amount - the charged amount in your billing currency
- Status - Paid for a successful charge, or the payment's current state (for example, a pending or failed status) otherwise
theStacc can show up to 50 recent payments. The billing page shows your latest payments at a glance; to browse your full history, use View all invoices to open the billing portal, where every payment and invoice is available.
If you've never been charged yet (for example, you're still on a trial), this section shows No invoices yet.
Invoices#
An invoice is generated automatically on your billing date each cycle. You'll receive your invoices in two ways:
- By email - each invoice is emailed to the workspace owner's email address when it's generated.
- In the billing portal - past invoices are available any time in the portal, where you can view and download them.
theStacc itself doesn't generate a downloadable PDF inside the app. To view or download an invoice document, open the billing portal:
- Go to Settings > Billing.
- In the Invoices section, click View all invoices.
- The billing portal opens in a new tab with your full invoice history.
What else you can do in the billing portal#
The billing portal (opened from any Update, Manage, or View all invoices button on the billing page) is where the rest of your billing self-service happens. In the portal you can:
- Update your payment method - add or replace the card on file
- View and download invoices - your complete invoice history
- Review your payment history - every charge on your account
- Update your billing address - change the address on your invoices
- Cancel a subscription - end a module's plan
When you cancel in the portal, your access doesn't stop immediately - your module stays active until the end of the current billing period. For exactly what happens after you cancel and how access winds down, see Subscription Status & Access.
Who can manage payments#
Billing is owner-controlled. Only the workspace Owner can manage payment methods and subscriptions; the invoice email also goes to the owner. Admins, Editors, and Viewers can use the product but can't change billing. For a full breakdown of roles, see Workspace & Team.
Frequently asked#
Why can't I see my full card number?
For your security, theStacc only ever receives the card brand and the last four digits from our payment processor. Your full card number is never shown or stored by theStacc.
Where do I download an invoice PDF?
Open the billing portal from Settings > Billing (use View all invoices). Invoice documents live in the portal, and a copy of each invoice is also emailed to the workspace owner on your billing date.
How do I change the card I'm billed on?
Click Update on the Payment Method card under Settings > Billing to open the portal, then add or replace your card there.
