Someone needs a house cleaner. She types it into Google, opens the map, and reads the reviews of the top three. Not the ratings — the reviews. She is looking for whether anyone mentions the same cleaner turning up each time, and whether the owner replies like a person.
You already run a tighter operation than the outfit with the cheap flyers. That is what makes this hard. She never gets far enough to find that out, because your listing shows a rating, four photos from 2023, and a two-star review nobody ever answered.
So you keep filling the schedule from word of mouth, which works until a couple of long-term clients move away in the same month. Suddenly there is a gap in the Tuesday route, and you have no channel that brings you a new recurring client on demand.
You end up taking one-off deep cleans to plug the hole. They pay once, they are the hardest days of the week, and they do nothing for next month.
